Mr President is an alias of gifted French instrumentalist, Patchworks. ‘The Best Is Yet To Come’ is unashamedly a bright and soulful number that wouldn’t be out of place on a Curtis Mayfield album. In fact, whilst listening, you’ll sometimes have to remind yourself that you’re not listening to ‘Move On Up’.
Nothing wrong with such comparisons, of course. The song features some strong horns, catchy vocals and a nice percussive beat driving things. Hawa and Mr Day are enlisted to provide the vocals on this cut, and they work beautifully together. Tune!
